An aronia orchard on the Manisa plain
Aronya RU is not a trading company or a reseller — we grow the fruit on our own land. Every box we ship comes from the orchard you see photographed on this site.
Why aronia?
This land carried vineyards and conventional fruit for many years. The decision to move to aronia came from a simple observation: the hot days and cool nights of the Manisa plain, and its clay-loam soil, suited the plant remarkably well. Aronia was disease-resistant, needed little spraying, and was almost impossible to find fresh anywhere in Türkiye.
The first bushes went in during 2021. Aronia begins fruiting in its third year; when we took our first serious harvest, the colour intensity and flavour exceeded what we had expected. We have been expanding the orchard ever since.
What decides the quality of aronia is not the cultivar alone — it is when it was picked and how many days it took to reach the table.
How we grow
The method in one line: give the plant space, water it carefully, and never rush the harvest.
- Wide row spacing: every bush gets full sun and airflow. Crowded planting costs colour and sugar.
- Drip irrigation: water goes straight to the root. It saves water and keeps foliage dry, reducing fungal pressure.
- Low intervention: aronia is naturally resilient, so we avoid unnecessary spraying.
- Hand harvest: machines crush clusters, leak juice and shorten shelf life. We pick cluster by cluster.
- Cooled after picking: harvested fruit is never left in the sun.
What happens after you order
The order arrives
The moment your Shopier payment completes, the order reaches us. Weekday orders before 12:00 are processed the same day.
We go to the orchard
The fruit is not taken from storage — it is hand-picked that day. Unripe or damaged berries are sorted out.
Weighed and packed
Placed without compression into ventilated boxes with shock-absorbing lining. The harvest date is written on the box.
Shipped
Handed to the courier the same day and delivered within 1–3 business days. Shipping is on us.

What buying direct actually means
In the conventional chain, fruit goes from grower to wholesale market, then to a distributor, then to a shop. Every stop adds days and cost. What you see on a shelf is often more than a week old.
Our chain has one step: orchard → courier → you. That is why our price is lower and our fruit is fresher.
